The cornhole game is a popular pastime in the United States. The cornhole league has been attracting investors and players alike with its new standards for equipment and rules. Recently, basketball coach John Thompson III and real estate investor James Simmons III have invested in the fast-growing cornhole league.

Thompson said his investment was made because he “liked what they’re doing.” His goal is to make cornhole an Olympic sport one day.

Cornhole can be played casually or competitively, with some people preferring it as a drinking game when playing against friends. In contrast, others prefer it as a family activity on long car trips.

To make it an Olympic sport would be a massive leap for cornhole. It would be the first time cornhole is brought to an international scale, allowing people from all walks of life and religions to compete as equal competitors.

For now, though, cornhole will continue growing in popularity with its new equipment standards and rules implemented by the American Cornhole League (ACL). The ACL has taken on investors before, but this is their first outside investment. They hope it will bring more players into corn hole leagues nationwide. The founders aim for corn hole to one day become a popular sport at colleges and universities around America just like basketball or football are today.
